What to Expect

Generally, the first appointment is longer, lasting up to an hour and a traditional chinese medical exam is based on observation of the body, tongue and temperament. A thorough chiropractic, orthopedic physical and neurological exam may also be performed. These tests allow the doctor to pinpoint the cause of the problem and create a treatment plan just right for you. In general, the exam is comfortable and modesty preserved. Follow up appointments are generally 30 minutes and the acupuncture treatments consists of small needles inserted below the skins surface. Most people comment that the treatment is relaxing and comfortable experience. once needles are inserted, patients are allowed to rest 15-20 minutes. As follow up, a treatment plan will be recommended and an opportunity to ask questions provided.
